About Our Monday Enrichment Programs

Programs are presented in our beautiful 2nd floor ballroom at 178 Forest Ave. in Oak Park. Our programs are free and open to the public; voluntary donations are welcome and appreciated. Although there is no charge, a freewill donation of $15 is requested to help cover the cost. After the program, we invite visitors to stay and enjoy light refreshments and conversation. To view a live program via Zoom or a recording of a previous program, visit our website homepage—nineteenthcentury.org.

Our 2025-2026 Program Season runs October-May. Click on the Program Book link or click on the image for a complete listing of our programs!

Our programs capture the cultural diversity and love of learning that’s so evident in Oak Park and its surrounding communities. Topics addressed range from art and music to science, the social sciences and literature. We pride ourselves in truly offering something for everyone, and particularly strive to emphasize the history and culture of the Chicagoland area and the expertise of local professionals. All open to the public, our programs are typically held on Mondays at 1:15 p.m. from October through May. We also schedule occasional weekend and evening events; special programs are announced at our meetings, in Oak Park area media and on our Web site.
