The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association has supported the community for over 125 years, changing its specific activities to meet the needs of the time.  When first formed, the members met in private homes but realized that a larger and more appropriate location was needed and the current clubhouse was built.  The building has remained a special focus but it too has changed over the years with the addition of features such as air conditioning, elevators and even an electronically lit ballroom.  There have been many changes throughout the activities as well, reflecting the increase of women obtaining formal education, the relaxation of formal dress codes and even the process of joining which once required sponsorship.

These changes were possible only because the NCCA has found leaders who faced the challenges and moved the organization forward.  Although many members contributed, we especially thank those who accepted the role of President and who found ways to make change possible.  Here we salute the former presidents of our organization.  The list shows the year of membership followed by the years in office as President.
