Social Science: Chicago’s West Loop, Then and Now The West Loop was once a manufacturing and wholesale warehouse area and is now the home of corporate and union headquarters, as well as home to hundreds of Chicagoans. Connie Fairbanks introduces us to the pioneers of then and now, the variety of businesses located there, and the eye-catching architectural wonders of the West Loop.
