Join the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association for a unique holiday treat—and be among the first supporters of the “Let’s Update the Kitchen” campaign. This year, the Chicago landmark Marie Schock house (click here to learn more) will become a Christmas wonderland, filled with surprises and delights. You’ll go back in time to your own childhood and that of your parents and grandparents as you enjoy an 1880s German feather tree, a snow tree, an aluminum tree and more than 20 other trees decorated with vintage ornaments and period lighting. Noted Christmas memorabilia collector Jerry Ehernberger (click here to learn more), founder of the world-wide collectors organization the Golden Glow of Christmas Past, is sharing his private collection!

Your $50/person donation includes:

  Timed tickets and limited attendance, ensuring an enjoyable viewing experience.
  The opportunity to meet and greet other visitors in the decorated landmark Nineteenth Century Club, 178 Forest Ave., as you    partake of sparkling wine and Chef Woody’s homemade cookies.

  Courtesy round-trip limo transportation between the Club and the house.
  Seven Christmas-themed rooms, with decorations from the late 19th to the mid 20th centuries.
  A keepsake brochure describing the special items in each room; many items will be labeled to help you understand their significance.

This is a privileged opportunity to treat yourself, your family members, and your friends to a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition of vintage Christmas ornaments, lighting, and decorations, while you help support the Nineteenth Century Club’s landmark building.

CAUTIONARY NOTES: All participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. As a historic house, the Marie Schock home is NOT handicap-accessible; participants must be able to manage stairs and tight quarters. No large purses or backpacks; no children younger than 12.
