More about Explores of Deep Time: Roy Plotnick is Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a Fellow of both the Geological Society of America and the Paleontological Society and was an Edward P. Bass Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Yale University. He has long been involved with efforts to increase public interest and awareness of paleontology and the Earth sciences. Roy is the author of the newly released book Explorers of Deep Time: Paleontologists and the History of Life, published by Columbia University Press.
