On January 9, 9:30 am at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association, the League of Women Voters of Oak Park/River Forest will host a discussion on opioid overdose prevention.

Overdoses are the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S. Free access to Narcan® (the overdose reversing drug) is now available for free in our community. Receive a list of where the “harm reduction boxes” are located that contain Narcan®. Learn how to use the spray, receive a kit, and leave prepared to reverse a fatal overdose.

The speakers, Sara Semelka and Chelly Richards, are educators from the Oak Park Department of Public Health.
