No Fixed Point: The Art of High Energy Physics - Textile Artist Lindsay Olson and Fermi Lab Physicist, Dr. Don Lincoln Scientists and artists both thrive on uncertainty and a sense of adventure. Artist in Residence, Olson was also inspired by the Higgs boson, recently discovered at the Large Hadron Collider in Europe. Hear and see both sides of the science and artistry through dyed textiles, embroidery and other techniques with a discussion about the endless possibilities of how the Standard Model of particle physics can help to explain our universe.
