Since 2006 José Francisco Salg
ado has been collab- orating with orchestras, composers, and musicians to present science films that provoke curiosity and a sense of wo
nder about the natural world. The films are choreographed to
music works and feature scientific visualizations, space prob
e images, historical documents, and Salgado’s photography of
natural phenomena. In this presentation, Dr. Salgado will talk about the cr
eative process behind Nocturnes, his latest film with music by Claude Debus
sy. This film explores how the night sky has inspired artists and motivated scientists to explore the Universe. To register for this webi
