Vio

invite you into their Chicago living room (graced by a beautifully rebuilt
1936 Steinway), where they'll perform a variety of both lively and poignan
t works, from well-known pieces to rarely heard gems. The 50-minute program
, including remarks on each piece, will feature works by women, including n
oted American composer Gwyneth Walker; Chicagoan Florence Price, the first
African-American woman to have her work performed by a major symphony orche

“Smile,” the gorgeous Meditation from the opera Thaïs, and Ernest Bloch's impassioned Nigun from his Baa
