HAPPY HOUR MIND BOGGLES PRESENTS:
Ranked Choice Voting< /strong>
Thursday, November 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Do you ever look at crowded presidential primaries (R epublican or Democrat) and feel overwhelmed by all the choices? Has there been a third-party candidate that you wanted to vote for but were afraid yo u would be throwing away your vote and would help the candidate you liked t he least to win? Would you like an election system that ensures that only c andidates with majority support win?
The solution to these problems isRanked Choice Voting (RCV)- a sys tem of voting that allows voters to rank the candidates in order of prefere nce. RCV will be used for the first time in six presidential primaries or caucuses and in the general election in Maine in 2020.
