Glacial ice has created practically every geologic feature in our corner of the Midwest, even though the most recent glacier retreated about 20,000 years ago. Dr. John P. Tandarich will discuss this process in some detail, with the help of projected maps, diagrams, photographs, and tables. A special focus will be placed on the specific features that we observe in Cook County, and especially in Oak Park and River Forest. This program is free for everyone. A voluntary suggested donation of $15 at the door for non-members is appreciated.
