Co-founder of the Center for Native Futures Monica Rickert-Bolter will take an in-depth look into the growing artistic movement Indigenous Futurism. The concept is complex and ever-changing as it breaks away from colonial perceptions of traditional Native art and allows space for new art forms to emerge. She will discuss her unconventional artistic career, the connection to her BIPOC background, and how Indigenous Futurism relates to the future trajectory of Chicago's Native artistic community.

This program is free for everyone.   A voluntary suggested donation of $15 at the door for non-members is appreciated.  There will be no lunch before the program, but there will be a tea table after the program.
