Category: Enrichment Series- Open to the Public

From the earliest years of the Colonial Period to well into the 20th Century, many American artists looked to both European and domestic writings as the source and subject of their art. They produced paintings, prints and book illustrations of subjects both high-brow and popuar. David Sokol’s talk examines the art of these painters and printmakers, exploring how they strove to convey their ideas of value and meaning through the literature subjects they chose to present to the public. To register for this webinar, click HERE.
