More than thirty percent of Americans were estimated to have contracted the Spanish Influenza from 1918-1919 and millions of people lost their lives. Explore the timeline of the outbreak and hear tales of how the U.S. Army, Navy and civilian population centers tried desperately to combat the disease. Genealogist Tina Beaird also provides resources for tracing your influenza victims through newspapers, government records, medical journals, hospital registers and more.
