Ami is the Founder/Executive Director of the Chicago Mosaic School and President Emeritus- The Society of American Mosaic Artists. From river rocks to ceramic cones ornamenting the pillars of the city of Ur, to the murals of Pompeii and the treasures of Byzantine Ravenna, mosaics have borne ongoing witness to history for over 4,000 years. Here she shows how contemporary mosaic art transcends ancient techniques for a new generation of creatives.
