EVENINGS AT THE 19TH

Lyrics and Lyricism – Voice and Violin Music of the 21st Century  The violin and the human voice have traditionally represented the height of soloist expression. How did the dawn of 20th century musical modernism change composers' approach to these beautiful instruments? Oak Park and River Forest natives Emily Dorian and Scott Daniel present an eclectic program exploring this question, featuring small ensemble and solo works by Saint-Saëns, Schoenberg, Villa-Lobos, and others.

Doors open: 6:45 p.m. Program: 7:30 p.m. Beer, wine and snacks available.

$10 donation helps cover program costs.
