Category: Community's Events- Open to the Public

A program of music by Franz Schubert with The Avalon String Quartet.  Following the program, the audience will be invited to engage in conversation with the performers and Mr. Fogel.

From Mr. Fogel:
“I am so excited that the Avalon Quartet will be opening this series with a program of music by Franz Schubert. Schubert, in the brief 31 years of his life, composed some of the most beautiful music that has ever been written. He applied his genius to many forms - songs, symphonies, piano sonatas, and string quartets. His quartets are among the most beloved and highly esteemed examples of chamber music. He took the String Quartet form that was invented by Haydn, developed by Mozart and Beethoven, and carried into the romantic era of music with incredible beauty. The intimate setting of the Nineteenth Century Club is the perfect place to experience them.”
